ABOUT US: Executive Director

Sharon Fox is the Executive Director of the Children’s Health Alliance and has served in this position since September 2006.

Prior to this position, Sharon was the Executive Consultant for Service Strategy and Delivery for Kaiser Permanente Northwest in which she worked with the Chief Operations Officer and her team to improve service quality in the organization.

As the eServices Program Manager for Kaiser Permanente Northwest, she managed a team that developed and implemented shared electronic medical records and secure messaging through a patient web portal. This pioneering effort was later implemented nationally.

For fifteen years, Sharon worked in hospital, medical office and settings within Kaiser Permanente, including project management, process improvement, cost-benefit analysis, decision analysis, facility planning and service delivery/business planning.

Prior to her tenure with Kaiser she was with Providence Health System as the Director of Planning for Providence Medical Center in Portland, Oregon. She also worked in occupational health, group practice management, the health plan, marketing and strategic planning.

Sharon has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Portland and a graduate degree in Health Administration from the University of Washington. She also holds a certificate in medical informatics from Oregon Health Sciences University.
