ABOUT US: Committees
The Board of Directors of the Children’s Health Alliance is composed of 10 pediatricians who are elected by the membership for three year terms. The Directors determine the mission, vision and strategy for the organization, set policy, oversee the finances and are responsible for the organization. The Board of Directors meets from 7:00 am to 8:45 am on the third Thursday of every month in the Alliance conference room. Any member is welcome to attend the meeting. Topics can be suggested for the agenda by members to any Board member or the Executive Director.
The Board of Directors of the Children’s Health Foundation mirrors that of the Alliance. The Directors will have meetings for the Foundation as needed immediately after the adjournment of the Children’s Health Alliance meeting.
The Quality Improvement and Integration Committee was formed by the Board of Directors to oversee quality improvement initiatives within the Alliance and Foundation. This committee makes recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding quality improvement initiatives and manages the implementation of policy and initiatives. The committee is composed of qualified pediatricians who have an interest in quality improvement within the pediatric community and their practice. The committee is chaired by the Medical Director of Quality Improvement. The committee meets the second Tuesday of each month from noon to 1:00 p.m.
The Management Advisory Group is composed of individuals involved in the management of our members’ practices. The group meets every other month on the second Wednesday of the month in January, March, May, July, September and November. The advisory group provides input and gives recommendations into management-related issues for the Board of Directors, including health plan contracts and contract performance, vendor contracts and other management related topics.
